Bad news (not about me)

When I looked at my V9 at noon, I had an email to sms on it. I opened it and it read "Au révoir mon amour, jr te souhaite seulement le meilleur.Sam" At first I didnt realize what this could be about, and tried to call him on his celly,no response. Then I tried the homephone and got his mom. Sam has attempted suicicide by drinking 3(three!) bottles of Wild Turkey the other day. He is currently on the intensive care of La Salpétriére, in critical condition. The call was brief and since even my 98 of 100 result from the test become unimportant. It took me ages to txt this post, let alone to send it. Anyway, now it´s done. Here you go!  Laters Pilgrim

Pilgrim, I'm really sorry that Sam has done this again. of course I'm sorry for him and his family, as well as for you.

I sincerely hope he pulls through and gets the help he clearly needs.

I'm thinking of you. I can only imagine what you must be feeling.

I'm sorry to hear that. I had hoped that Sam would do alright after his earlier treatment. I'm praying for him and his family, and I hope you'll be able to cope with the bad news.

Oh my! Dear Pelerin: I am so sorry about this news. Obviously for Sam, for his family, and for you, my bro. Such heartache!

From the other comments I see this is a pattern: it has happened before, now. . . .and . . ? I hope he will find the therapeutic help he is crying out for! Such attempts are extreme cries for help.

Apparently there have been other 'cries for help' since the last major one and likely these lesser cries were not heard or noticed. .

I believe in prayer. . I shall pray first off that the right therapist for Sam will turn up/be found. I pray for Sam's recovery physically from this bout and then his psychological/spiritual healing. I pray for you, Pilgrim, and for his other friends and for his family that you will all each in your ways be the loving support he needs.

You do not need to find the answer. What you need to do is to be the strong loving presence to him. . not just you alone, Pilgrim, all of you.

Here is something I believe strongly. . .about praying for someone. Praying is loving. . it is surrounding Sam with love. . love is an energy, a power we all have and that love knows no distance, no mileage. So when we pray and words are not needed but that inner presence surrounds Sam, we share our inner strength. . .or as some say "we send Sam good vibes" ...whatever it is. . .This energy/power connects each of us to each other and together we form that loving presence. It says in St Paul's letter "The love of God is poured into our hearts thru the Holy Spirit who is given to us. . "
God is the source of that energy we have in loving/healing prayer.

Bro, do you have someone close you can talk with about this? Someone with whom you can talk about your feelings. . .about all of this sitz? Find someone you trust. . . do not bottle up your feelings. . .

Keep us updated about how Sam and you are doing. Hang in there, babe: this is all going to work out!

HUGGIES. . .

Pilgrim, although you know little of me, I have been following you here for some time.

My thoughts are with you and Sam hoping for his speedy recovery. His road will be long and difficult. I hope his character and spirit is strong enough to endure and succeed. Your strength will be an asset to him.
