Conversion ahead!

No, not me. My Gf. is muslima, a secular one though but nonetheless. After mass this morning she waited until the church emptied and we were alone with the priest. Then, in broken spanish, she asked him, how it is possible to convert to catholic. I was stunned! She never before mentioned this or hinted at it. It was a lengthy talk between the both, of which I was left out like totally. Of course! I already have the religion of my paternal ancestors.*g* But she could have told me before instead like telling me in front of the priest out of the blue. Too bad, John is away. But maybe, just maybe, some of you can give me some advice how to deal with it. Laters Pilgrim

Glorfindel, I have absolutety no drift what you mean! First you tag me as antisemite(which I deleted of course), now you approve my Gf.´s possible conversion. Are you antimuslimic?

I think she did it right. By talking to the priest. This shows that she is doing for herself, and not just because of you and her. I would stay out of this, other than being there at church for her. As long as a religion has morals and values life. I don't care . By the way , I feel most muslin's sects and christian religions have these. Al though both have the ones that don't.

So you have a girlfriend!! My, my, I was out of the beating track because, I don't know why, but I was sure you were gay. But, who cares anyway as long as you're happy! Now, about converting to catholicism, I'm sure the priest must have been extremely surprised as, nowadays, that's quite a feat in Spain! I'm afraid I can't help you because I'm anti-religion of any kind--Catholicism, Islamic or Jewish--the only one I find a bit more coherent is Buddhism. Gros bisous, M.
