A wonderful weekend

Saturday was pretty crammed w/touristy stuff, Ste´s Grandpa insisted on going to see Paris from above, meaning the Tour Eiffel, and I told him, he would have a much better view from the Tour Montmartre, just because it´s the only place where you can´t see the ugly Montmartre-Tower. Well, we did both and the old man went d´accord. Of course, Tour Eiffel was much more of a thrill, we waited like lightyears to get in to the elevator. Seems, not only Ireland and USofA started summer vacations. ...Anyway, today their trip ended w/an invitation to brunch w/Ste and Grandpa at a Bar-Brasserie near their Hotel, then I offered to bring them to the airport in my car. By now Ste and Grandpa are on their way home, Ste invited me over, if I could make it, so I told him, I coulg combine it w/my trip to Ireland. We´ll see. Laters Pilgrim

Great that you provided Ste & his Grandpa a joyful weekend. And sorry that I'm such a smart ass today, but one just can't wait lightyears. Though the queue might have been lightyears long.

Gomad, you can say both; lightyears ago or away. (Fyi)

I’m glad to hear your weekend was wonderful, you know there are wonderful, nice and almost nice weekends, sorry, no A.F. post, but I wrote to Lunario (twice!, maybe I can help him a bit).

All very nice. After he had seen Paris from both, which view did Ste's grandpa prefer (if he said)?

As I said he agreed w/my meaning. Btw, I gave your greets to Ste, but earned a blank look from him, I tried to remind him, but he said, he has no idea wh you is. Sorry Joe!

Well, if you referred to me as Joe, it's no wonder, since I call myself Naturgesetz in the blogging world, and that is the name under which he contacted me. But I suppose he could also have suppressed some memories from the sad time.

(The "Joe" only crept in there when I needed a first name to get an e-mail account with Google. If I could figure out how to remove it I would.)

I "did" the Eiffel Tower back in July 1987. Yes - pure tourist visit.

Walked up the first two sections and had a ticket to get the lift to the top. Only the huge crowds and queues put me off completely - very Icky. Ther was a very pleasant lady that was the attendant at the female toilets!!! She even put in more loo paper before ushering me towards the loo cubicle.

The daft stuff we remember!!!!!!

So happy your weekend went well,
